930 Intercom
Designed specifically for EMS professionals, the System 930 is a dual radio system. It allows a driver to communicate over one radio (dispatch), while a crewmember communicates over a second (hospital). Each can communicate with the other over the intercom, but neither hears the other's radio transmissions.
- This modular, dual radio system allows simultaneous radio transmission on two radios from up to three remote stations.
- Radio balance controls at each remote station allow each crewmember to hear: one radio only, both radios at the same level, both radios at different levels.
- An intercom mode switch allows a crewmember to eliminate the confusion of hearing multiple conversations at the same time. This switch, along with the radio balance control, permits a crewmember to have an uninterrupted call on one radio (dispatch), while a second crewmember communications on the other (hospital).
- Sophisticated electronics ensure that only the keying operator's voice transmits over the radio. When a crewmember keys the radio, all other microphones are locked out of the radio transmit circuit. Intercom communication between other positions remains active during radio transmission.
- Repairable parts decrease the lifetime cost of ownership, and fast repair turnaround decreases downtime.
- Interconnect cables are terminated with DIN connectors, eliminating any soldering required to install or replace components.
- Interconnect cables incorporate a shield on the microphone line and on the overall cable to prevent RF and EM interference.
- Radio transmit headsets can be used with a portable radio using an adapter cable (PRAC).
