WEATHERPROOF EXTENSION STATION (WES)

• A single person system that offers a radio transmit position at an exterior location.
• Setcom offers WES's for use with all commonly used mobile radios.
• For those mobile radios without an available accessory port, Setcom offers microphone adapters which provide plug and play installation through a radio's hand microphone port, provided that use of the hand microphone is not required.
• The WES accommodates a wide range of Setcom headsets.
• The exterior position is mounted in a rugged weatherproof enclosure, with a gasketed lid for the headset jack.
• A weatherproof port for an external or "remote" push-to-talk switch makes the WES the ideal choice for applications where an operator needs to keep his hands on a vehicle's controls, such as a bulldozer for wildland firefighting. The push-to-talk switch can be mounted conveniently on the vehicle's controls, improving operator safety.
• Interconnect cable between the mobile radio and the exterior position incorporates a shield on the microphone line and on the overall cable to prevent RF and EM interference.
• Radio transmit headset can be used with a portable radio using an adapter cable (PRAC).
